Helen Moon, is a freelance events and marketing director with an eclectic mix of experience in the events industry that spans 20 years.
Helen started her event journey back in the late 90’s in event co-ordination and venue operations working for Paramount and Marriott Hotels in Southport, Manchester and Liverpool, before moving to central London in 2004 and spending ten years in proactive venue sales for the likes of Millennium and Park Plaza Hotels as well as the Barbican Centre.
In 2014, she decided to return to her ‘first love’ of event management and operations, requalifying as an event manager and marketer adding a CIM Marketing Foundation Certificate and CIM Diploma in Event Management for Marketing and Communications to her Diploma in Hospitality Management.
Helen is also a wife and mum of one, and before her maternity leave and semi-break from the industry she managed the Rise event programme for the UK Fashion and Textile Association, and led the operational management of the inaugural annual Retail Recharged Conference.
More recently she is known for her role as managing director and founder of EWL Club and now co-founder of #EventWell and the inaugural event industry campaign – UK Event Wellbeing Week.
Helen has been cited a top 100 mover and shaker in the events industry, #39 of the top 60 most influential event professionals to follow and is currently in the top 10 of the Eventopedia Social Media Power List. She is also an alumna and member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM).
