I’ve another fantastic venue spotlight for you this week, and one that will certainly appeal to both unique venue, and piste and apres-ski lovers!
Last night I attended the launch event for Chel-Ski, the latest and largest indoor ski centre to open in central London and situated right in the heart of Chelsea. The appropriately named Chel-Ski provides a fun, safe and controlled setting for ski and snowboard lessons and training, using BASI approved technology.
Wait for it… there’s no waiting, with no lifts, and the boarders will be pleased to hear – no button bars, and no queues, it’s the perfect venue to brush up on your existing skills or take those first steps before hitting the slopes this season, or any time of the year.
Chel-Ski is about developing technique under ‘close’ personal supervision, qualified instructors taking maximum three customers on the slope at a time to assess and provide feedback on improvement. There’s also private tuition if you would prefer a one-to-one lesson.
I’ve been known to enjoy a spot of snowboarding occasionally, and what I loved is that the angle and speed of the slopes can be adjusted to match your ability, there are balance bars to help you master basic techniques, and large mirrors to allow you to check your posture (great for fine tuning your boarding) and see improvement.
By the way, the instructors are also pretty impressive, and British!
After hitting the slopes there’s a fantastic alpine cafe where you can relax and enjoy a little apres-ski, perhaps try a raclette, fondue or just a few alpine style cocktails and drinks.
It’s a really stylish and exciting environment to host events and Chel-Ski is available for group bookings, perfect for team building, client events and entertaining, or even a networking event or product launch with a difference.
If you’re a real adrenaline junky and lover of extreme sports you can even combine this with Clip ‘N’ Climb, an indoor climbing wall attraction within the same venue!
Get in touch with Chel-Ski’s Events Manager, Jo Whittaker, to discuss requirements and pricing for parties and all corporate events. Jo can be reached at email@example.com.
I love it and can’t wait until post bump to get my board out to do a little fine tuning, I’m positive there are plenty of you that will want to check it out too!
Until next time #Eventprofs…
